Towards the new ApPEC structure
aspera appec Representatives of national government agencies of ASPERA-2 met on 29 June in Berlin, at the Magnus-Haus of the German Physical Society (DPG) to signe the MoU of the new ApPEC structure.
Noble liquids to rescue dark matter search
dark matter Partly funded through the ASPERA 1st common call, the DARWIN project aims at building a big future detector for dark matter search, using the very promising noble liquids technologies.
Warning: Please note that the ASPERA project ended on 31 December 2012 and this wesbite is not updated anymore. A website for the APPEC consortium is under construction for more news about astroparticle physics in Europe - to be released soon.
European research agencies create sustainable entity for astroparticle physics

ASPERA ad futurum On 30 November 2012 in Brussels, European funding agencies for astroparticle physics celebrated the successful work of the ASPERA European funded network and the launch of the newly founded APPEC, the Astroparticle Physics European Consortium.
The meeting was the opportunity for the very first General Assembly of APPEC during which Stavros Katsanevas from CNRS – France was elected as its Chairman, and Thomas Berghoefer from DESY – Germany was elected as its General Secretary.
Underground Synergies with Astroparticle Physics | 18/19 December 2012 | Durham

Underground Synergies with Astroparticle Physics The workshop at Durham (18-19 December 2012) will showcase the synergies between underground astroparticle physics infrastructures and the opportunities they provide to address a wide range of multi-disciplinary science challenges. The event will bring together scientists, decision makers and industry to highlight and identify underground science synergies; and address the scientific, administrative and funding challenges faced by multi-disciplinary scientists when trying to collaborate together and with industry.
